Hot Glass Summer – opening weekend
12–14 June 2026 | KLO 9–17
FREE OF CHARGE
During the second weekend of June, Nuutajärvi celebrates the beginning of a historic summer. The new hotshop with spectator seating in Finland’s oldest glass village opens its doors, and visitors will have a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes of the glassblowing studio on free guided tours.
For the first time, the furnaces are glowing and glass is melting in Nuutajärvi Glass Village’s new hot shop. Before the summer glassblowing demonstrations begin, visitors can get an up-close look at the hot shop’s operations, furnaces, and equipment with guidance from a glassblower.
On Saturday and Sunday, free guided tours will introduce visitors to the Glass Village, its history, and the new hot shop, which will be open to the public for the first time. Two new summer exhibitions will also open during the weekend.
Please note that the program is subject to change. Any updates will be posted on this page. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for the latest news and announcements.
